High Paying AdSense Keywords

AdSense keywords seem to be a confusing subject to many people as of late. I have been asked many times what are the best paying keywords to target for a website? We all know that there are highly competitive areas on the internet (work from home, insurance, web hosting) in fact just about everything has higher paying keywords. The question really comes down to what topic do you want to write about? Can you really target an area like insurance? or web hosting?

In my opinion it does not matter what area you target if you can drive target traffic to your page then you will earn money, Google AdSense is designed to place relevant adverts in relation to the text on your site. But here is where you can find a new issue, should you decide to target extremely high paying keywords you can face the challenge of getting people to your site. How ever if you are a pro marketer and know how to drive traffic to any site then the chances are you are not here looking for keywords that will earn you loads, you would be more focused on affiliate products or CPA offers.

Another point to consider is the other affecting parts of how much a keyword click is worth, from what I understand, impressions and CTR (click thru rate) also play a part in how much Google pays you, also keep in mind that if you pick what you think is a lucrative keyword there may be no AdWords competition thus you will receive much less.

There are many tools available to help you find keywords some are free, others you have to pay for. The general rule of thumb is the more people competing for that phrase the more you will earn (assuming you have a good level of targeted traffic or can produce good natural streams of traffic). One free tool that is probably one of the best you will find for free is the Google AdWords tool, however you still have to judge certain levels of competition. Another test is to search for terms like "insurance" or what ever you think may be worth while, and check the returned results, and see how many adverts there are on the search results page. If there are only 1 or 2 ads on Google's pages (in the paid section) the chances are the AdWords competition is low.

There is only 1 real way to see what keywords will be good for you and that is to think about what topics you can produce good original content for, and try! If you really want to get heavily involved and make some serious cash then you will need to test your keywords, along with your ability to drive traffic to that site. Those topics are outside the scope of this article but you can find more information related to this topic here -- High Paying AdSense Keywords where we are carrying out test on keywords.
